Imitation is the highest form of flattery, they say. I’m being facetious – but check this out.
Creadon, Michael (Tuesday): “There’s a lot happening beneath the surface.”
Novogratz, Michael (Friday): “Tons of activity under the hood.”
Can we get a ruling, please? Buehler? Here’s Novo’s full quote: “Realizing I haven’t tweeted about crypto in a while. It’s a grind. Don’t think we head north for at least a few more months. Always take longer for institutions to move. Very confident they will. Tons of activity under the hood. Stay the course.”
Honestly, I feel the same way about the incredible amount of activity in the blockchain-crypto space. It’s insane: I’ve never worked harder in my life & never seen so many people so fervently committed to what they’re doing. Deals all over the place. Plenty of failures, too. But I don’t see a lot of quit. Projects like ConsenSys, BitMain, NEM, and many others are letting staff go – which is a huge bummer – but they’re not closing their doors.
They’re trying to adjust to what Novo aptly describes as a “grind”. I saw a fellow blogger remark the price of BTC is no reflection of the health of the ecosystem. This is a quaint notion – but unrealistic.
Of course, price action matters; but so too do the extraordinary efforts being put forth.
